Clinics & Services
Nurse Clinics
Our nurses are trained to provide a wide range of services, eg immunisations, wound care and cervical screening. Pam is also a trained family planning nurse.
Diabetic Clinic
Nurse Joanna Griffin
All diabetics who are not regularly monitored at the hospital will be invited to attend this clinic on a regular basis. Progress should be carefully monitored to reduce the long term risks associated with diabetes, such as heart disease and deteriorating eyesight.
Asthma & Spirometry Clinic
Nurse Rachel Kemp & Seema
We have a trained asthma nurse who holds regular clinics. Regular monitoring of asthmatics is recommended and you are advised to make appointments at the clinic.
Travel vaccinations
Patients need to book in our travel clinics at least 2 months before travel.
This is because we may have to order vaccines in or tell patients to go elsewhere to get certain vaccines that the NHS don’t provide.
We can only provide NHS vaccinations, so if you require vaccinations that the NHS don’t provide you will have to go to a private travel clinic to get them.
When a patient calls they will be asked for date of travel – destination – length of stay – type of accommodation and booked a telephone call with a nurse.
The nurse will call the patient, provide travel advice and advise them on what vaccinations, if any will be required, they will book them an appointment if NHS vaccinations are required.
