Noticeboard

Which service, when?

Inappropriate A+E attendances for problems that are neither emergencies nor related to acute injuries from accidents, cause delay in assessment for those who have genuine need. NHS Sheffield is keen to help you choose the right service for your needs at the time, i.e "the right place at the right time". That might be, self-care, pharmacist advice, walk-in-centre, GP (including urgent access as at Crystal Peaks MC),or out of hours GP service. In order to facilitate that, there is some guidance available in our further information list. Please help by accessing the right service at the right time. This is especially important in the winter months when the health service is under additional pressure. Thank you

HGV/PCV Medicals- £110!

We have reduced our price for Heavy Goods Vehicle and Passenger Carrying Vehicle examinations. We believe there are advantages to having your registered medical practice carrying out these medicals as we have full access to your medical record, if there are any queries and we can rapidly arrange any further tests that may become necessary. Please contact reception to arrange an appointment.

Support for hard of hearing patients - SignLive

Use SignLive interpretation to connect and talk securely to your GP practice.

Your GP practice has partnered with SignLive to launch a new service on the 25th of October 2024 that helps deaf and hard-of-hearing patients communicate with their practice through a live, on-demand BSL-qualified interpreter. This service aims to improve communication and improve access to healthcare for these patients. For more information, check out the BSL video at the following link: https://vimeo.com/1014834083/c99ed65c62?share=copy

What is SignLive

SignLive is an interpretation service for those who are deaf or hard of hearing. You can talk to your GP practice through a British Sign Language interpreter safely and securely. About Us - SignLive

If you are a BSL user, you can use SignLive to connect to us via an Interpreter. Just log in to the SignLive app on iOS, Android, or a web browser and find us in the Community Directory. When you call, the Interpreter may confirm who you want to get in touch with.

This service is to help you contact us for example to book appointments with a clinician, ask for test results or ask questions. Face to face BSL interpreters are still available for your consultations with practice nurses, physios or GPs. These will be booked by reception in the usual way.

How to Access SignLive

The first time you use SignLive you will need to complete a one-time registration. This will keep your account secure and allow us to call you back if needed.

You can access SignLive via the app or a web browser. Visit www.signlive.co.uk/login for more information. For frequently asked questions visit: https://signlive.co.uk/faq/
