GP Fees for Non NHS Services
PLEASE ALLOW 10 WORKING DAYS FOR THE REQUEST TO BE COMPLETED
The NHS provides most health care free of charge however there are a number of other services that are not covered for which fees are charged. If a GP signs a certificate or completes a report it is a professional duty that he/she checks the accuracy of such information. This may involve examining the patient’s entire medical record. The fee will reflect both the doctor’s time to carry out the service and the doctor’s professional opinion. It may also include the cost of nursing, secretarial or administrative support.
If you have any concerns about the fee involved please discuss this with your doctor or nurse prior to requesting the service.
The list of fees below is correct with effect from 1ST June 2018, however, may be subject to change.
