Clinics & Services
As well as general medical care we also offer the following:
Cervical Smear Tests
These tests are carried out by the Practice Nurse. Please inform the receptionist when you are making the appointment that you will be having a smear teat. We follow the local policy which advises a smear every 3 or 5 years depending on age UNLESS the cytologist recommends repeating the smear more often.
Family Planning
We now offer a full range of contraceptive services, including coils and sub-dermal implants. Please ask whether a doctor or nurse appointment is appropriate for your needs.
Postnatal Checks
The doctor carries out a health and development check for baby as well as a postnatal check for mum at 6-8 weeks after delivery.
Vaccinations
Children
It is important that your children are fully vaccinated. Baby's first vaccination appointments will be organised for you and sent to you via text message or a letter.

Adults
Flu vaccination is offered annually to those in at-risk groups as well as carers and health professionals. One-off vaccines are also available for pneumonia and shingles (aged 70 and over).
If you require routine vaccinations please make arrangements to see the Practice nurse.
NHS Health Checks
Between the ages of 40 to 75 you are entitled to a free NHS health check - the nurse will look at your lifestyle, blood pressure and blood results to help you reduce your risks of heart disease and other chronic illnesses.
