When We Are Closed
Call 999 for life threatening emergencies only such as:
- Major accident or trauma
- Severe bleeding
- Persistent/severe chest pain
- Suspected stroke
- Severe breathlessness
- Loss of consciousness
Call NHS 111 when you need medical help fast but it is not a life-threatening emergency. NHS 111 is available 24/7, every day of the year and is free from all landlines and mobiles.
Call 111 when:
- You need medical advice/help but its not a 999 emergency
- You think you need to attend A&E or another NHS urgent care provider
- Your GP surgery is closed and you need healthcare advice but you cannot wait until your surgery re-opens
