D-Doc 1850 22 44 77
D-Doc is a GP run service to deal with your urgent medical problems when the surgery is closed.
The service runs from 18:00 to 08:00 Monday to Friday and 24 hours a day on Saturday, Sunday and on Bank Holidays. It is run by local North Dublin GPs who divide the work between them and is available to both medical card and private patients.
If you develop an urgent medical problem which cannot wait until the next surgery then you should phone:
1850 22 44 77
You will either be offered an appointment at one of the out of hours centres (our nearest one is in Coolock) or a specially trained nurse will call you back and give you advice over the phone. There is also a "mobile" doctor in a car available to visit the housebound and terminally ill patients.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
