Coronavirus update:
Please nominate a pharmacy in the local area for your prescription to be sent to. To do so please enter your chosen pharmacy in the "comments box"
Community pharmacists are facing unprecedented demand. Early requests for repeat prescriptions adds extra pressure on pharmacy teams and will not be processed. Please request your prescriptions only when they are required and do not stock pile medications.
Repeat Prescriptions (items listed on your re-order form)
Please note that we are unable to take requests over the telephone. This avoids mistakes being made and keeps our telephone lines and receptionists' time free to deal with more urgent patient enquiries.
Please note:
If you have not been prescribed a medication before you will need to contact the surgery to book an appointment with a GP.

Requesting Prescriptions – The difference between Repeat and Acute items and why it is important to request them differently.
We process 1000s of medications each week. To help us meet your expectations please note the following:
REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS are for items that the GP has decided you can order on a regular basis. These are the items already listed on the re-order form attached to your current prescription. These are processed quickly and should be available for collection within 2 working days of requesting (normally ready for collection after 1300). However if your prescriptions are collected by a pharmacy they may take a further 2 days to be ready in the pharmacy (depending on the pharmacy).
ACUTE PRESCRIPTIONS are for items which the GP has decided you can NOT order on a regular repeat prescription. These require longer to process because the GP needs to review your medical records to determine the appropriateness of the medication you have requested and may take up to 5 working days to be ready.
Collection of Completed Prescriptions
Please allow 48 hours for your prescription to be ready for collection. Prescriptions are likely to be ready after 14:00. They can be delivered to selected pharmacists if requested.
Personal Arrangements with Pharmacists for Housebound Patients
Some local pharmacists operate a system where they collect repeat prescriptions from the surgery on your behalf, and arrange delivery to your home. If you have made such an arrangement with your pharmacist, please let us know when you order your medication. You must arrange this service direct with your pharmacist and not with the surgery.
Return of Unused Medications
Please note that we do not accept unused medications, these should be returned to your local pharmacy.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
