Training PracticeMillview is an accredited training practice for GP registrars and Foundation year 2 doctors GP Registrars are fully qualified doctors who have chosen General Practice as a career and are continuing to gain more experience both in hospital posts and in the GP Surgery. They have a rigorous training programme to keep them up to date with the latest developments in medicine. GP Registrars work with the surgery for four or eight month blocks, running their own clinics under the supervision of the GP Partners. Foundation year 2 Doctors are also qualified and are in their second year post graduation from Medical School. Many of them opt to work for a four month period in General Practice and a significant proportion of those who have worked with us in the past have continued onto GP training programme. They also run their own clinics with longer appointments, closely supervised by the GP Partners. The GPs themselves also benefit from the recent hospital experience of the junior doctors The Practice is committed to continuous training and education for all staff at all levels. We also welcome nursing students who may be based at Millview during their training. |
