SURGERY UPDATE

Due to the management of Coronavirus it is no longer safe to operate an open surgery.

We are now operating a telephone triage service.   Please ring from 9am Monday to Friday on 02890743184 to seek telephone triage advice.

When through to reception, a member of staff will ask a few questions, you will then receive a call from a GP. Please be available to receive the call from the GP.  The GP will only try to contact you once.

Once these calls have been allocated, only medical emergencies will be contacted, any other routine matters will be dealt with the following morning when the patient contacts the surgery.

After speaking to the GP, if a prescription is required, this will be available for collection, at the surgery from 2.30pm the same afternoon. If a face to face appointment is required the GP will make arrangements with the patient.

Patients can now book for Cervical Smears.

Routine bloods can also be booked only when the GP has requested these bloods.

Patients will be asked to nominate a chemist where they would wish to collect their prescriptions. The practice will suggest a choice of local chemists who will be working along side us.

Arrangements may have to change on a daily basis, but we will try to keep you up-to-date on any changes.

With winter upon us there is an increase in GP contact, patients may not be aware of the PHARMACY FIRST scheme. By using this service it will save patient time on waiting to speak to a GP and being treated. See posters below and speak to your local pharmacy for more information:
