All eConsult and telephone requests for appointments are triaged clinically and allocated to the appropriate clinician
(Nurse, Paramedic, Pharmacist, GP trainee or GP)

If you prefer to see a particular GP please note that there may be a delay in getting an appointment depending on the GP availability

Face to Face appointments have to be clinically triaged and booked at certain times to reduce overcrowding and to maintain social distancing recommended by the government and the Department and Health and Social Care for NHS premises

eConsult: Online Clinical and Administrative Triage System

If you want to contact the surgery for any clinical or administrative request (eg: checking your symptoms for self-care, requesting an appointment with a GP, leaving a message for your GP, sick note or a referral, etc..) please use eConsult and we will contact you within 2 working days as we will have more information regarding your request.

If you need a nurse's appointment e.g Immunisation, Cervical smear, Flu Jab, or any other appointment with the nurse, please call reception option 2.

Any patient who is unable to use these online tools, and all self-care measures have been exhausted or symptoms are worsening or you have a significant health concern, please call the surgery. All appointments have been switched to telephone/video consultations and only patients who have been clinically assessed to need to be seen face to face will be asked to come to the surgery.

The practice will continue to have processes to ensure childhood immunisation and other essential care continues.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS

To limit /stop footfall to the surgery, we recommend that you nominate a pharmacy so that your prescription is issued and sent to the pharmacy electronically.

Abernethy House Surgery is a well established GP surgery situated near Enfield town centre in a purpose built premises. The surgery has a complement of eight doctors, four nurses, a healthcare assistant and several supporting staff (receptionists, secretaries, switchboard operators, etc.). We work closely with a strong team of community services including community nurses, community matrons, domiciliary phlebotomy and palliative care teams.

At Abernethy House Surgery, we provide first-class modern healthcare services. We strive to provide the highest possible standard of patient care and treatment. We are committed to promoting wellness and aim to prevent disease. We believe that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect and that patients should be at the centre of their healthcare team. We understand that we have a duty to listen and appreciate your concerns and provide you with resources to enable you to make your own lifestyle and healthcare decisions that will optimize you're well being. We value all patients of different ages, backgrounds and cultures.

We are also a GP training practice striving to help future GPs learn how to provide excellent quality of care for patients as they start their career.
