Coronavirus Vaccinations

The practice are pleased to let you know we are now able to offer the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine to eligible patients.

This is by appointment only and we will be calling patients to offer the vaccine.

Please do not call the practice with vaccine queries. Reception have been receiving hundreds of calls daily from patients and members of the public with queries. Please be reassured you will be called when it is your turn to be vaccinated. These calls have caused huge pressure on the telephone lines causing delays for unwell patients who may be trying to contact us urgently.

If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant and have questions about the vaccine please read Pregnancy & Vaccination Information

We urge everyone aged 18 and over, who have not yet had their first vaccine to book on the national booking system or by clicking the banner below. If you have had your first vaccine, please make sure you have the second vaccine to ensure maximum protection.

Coronavirus Advice

Everyone is being reminded to follow Public Health England advice to:

  • Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze. Then bin the tissue, and wash your hands, or use a sanitiser gel.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after using public transport. Use a sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid contact with people who are unwell.

If you need an appointment or urgent advice, please call the surgery and we will arrange for a GP to call you back. Due to COVID-19 we ask that patients do not come into the practice uninvited due to the risk of infection, so please call ahead for advice first.

If you are invited in to see a GP or Nurse face to face:

  • Please expect to have your temperature taken before entering the practice (you may be denied entry if your temperature repeatedly exceeds the safe limit).
  • Please wear a mask or face covering.
  • Reception will advise you how to move around the building safely (please follow signage and be considerate to others).
  • Hand sanitiser will be available to use on entering and exiting the building.
  • Please do not bring friends or family members with you to your appointment unless this is essential.

This advice may be subject to change at short notice as we continue to assess the situation. We thank you for helping us keep everyone safe.
