Please do not attend the surgery if you have a new persistent cough, a raised temperature, or any flu like symptoms particularly if you are aware of being a close contact of someone who has tested positive for coronavirus.
FLU VACCINATIONS
We are currently offering flu vaccinations at the surgery. These are for all those who will be over 65 as at 31.3.24 and those aged under 65 in a clinical risk category. Invites have been sent out so if you feel that you are eligible but have not received an invite please contact the surgery.
Pharmacy First
Starting 31st January 2024, NHS England has created a new scheme to help ease the pressure on GP practices. Pharmacy First encourages eligible patients to utilise pharmacies for timely and effective care without the need to see a GP. The eligible criteria are as follows:-
Clinical Pathway | Age Range |
Sore Throat | 5 years and over |
Urinary Tract Infections (UTI) | Women 16-64 years |
Earache/pain (Acute Otitis Media) | 1 to 17 years |
Infected Insect Bites | 1 year and over |
Impetigo | 1 year and over |
Shingles | 18 years and over |
Sinusitis | 12 years and over |
In order to ensure “right patient, right place, right time, first time” we would encourage you to use this service in the first instance rather than contacting the surgery.
