Appointments
Please note that from Wednesday 12th March our appointments system will be changing - further information is available here: Patient Information regarding Total Triage

To book an appointment you will need to use our eConsult facility:
Go to https://chaffordhundredmedicalcentre.webgp.com/ to start an eConsult online.
Each eConsult submitted to the Practice will be reviewed by a doctor and if you need an appointment this will be arranged with a suitable clinician.
The facility will initially be available from 7am until 2pm, or until we reach a safe capacity for the day. After this time if you feel your need cannot wait until the next working day, please telephone the surgery. Please remember that we are not an urgent care centre.
If you don't have Internet access, don't worry. You can still call our reception team, who will help you request an appointment.
Appointments with Nurses or Healthcare Assistants can continue to be made by telephone or in person or by using eConsult.
- Please also note that, as well as doctors, we have other clinicians working at the Practice, for example Nurse Practitioner, Paramedic Practitioners, and a Physician Associate. These clinicians are able to assess and treat many conditions and your appointment may be booked with one of these. All clinicians have access to discuss complicated queries with a doctor where necessary.
- There are also appointments available at other clinical hub locations within Thurrock, including evenings and weekends, through our partnership with Grays Primary Care Network. These appointments are booked by contacting Reception in the usual way.
- You can now self-refer to Physiotherapy without the need to see a GP first. If you think you have a problem that could be managed by a physiotherapist, please contact Reception to book.
- Our telephone system now offers a callback service - by selecting this service you will be called back automatically when your original call reaches the front of the telephone queue.
There are many situations when patients expect to have a consultation with a GP but it is apparent that what is being presented can be managed by going to the local pharmacist or by checking NHS websites and self-managing. You may also be directed to one of these services.
Appointments are NOT required for:
- Results of blood tests, x-rays or scans - please use eConsult. You do not need login details to access eConsult.
- Requesting sick certificates - please use eConsult. You do not need login details to access eConsult.
- Prescription queries (not repeat prescription requests) - please use eConsult. You do not need login details to access eConsult.
- Repeat prescription requests - order via SystmOnline or via the NHS app. Alternatively, email prescriptions@nhs.net OR send your request by post OR by hand in the prescription box at the surgery. Please do not telephone and do not use eConsult to order repeat prescriptions.
IT IS NOT THE FAULT OF RECEPTIONISTS WHEN ALL THE APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE ARE FULLY BOOKED.
Appointments at other locations
Appointments are available from 6.30pm to 8pm on some weekdays, and from 9am to 5pm on Saturdays.
The appointment might be at another GP surgery or medical centre within the Thurrock area. Appointments are for routine and urgent matters and must be booked in advance. When you book you will be told where the appointment will be. To book an appointment, please contact Reception as usual during normal surgery hours (8.3am-6.30pm).
If you need medical help now but it's not an emergency, you can also go to 111 online or call 111.
