Appointments

The doctors only have a limited amount of time to see each patient and respectfully ask that you do not to attend with a long list of problems that you would like to discuss in one consultation. 

They may ask you to attend at another time if you have a list of 2 or more medical issues that you want to discuss.

Emergencies will always take priority.

Home Visits

Please try to phone before 10 am for a GP Home Visit.

The Doctor may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or arrange a hospital attendance.

Home visits are for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Several patients can be seen in the surgery in the time it takes to do one house visit and there are much better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.

Nursing Team Appointments

Our Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistant are available to see patients by appointment only.

The Practice Nurses provide blood pressure checks, warfarin monitoring, heart disease, diabetes and respiratory reviews. They also carry out cervical smears, specific prescribed injections, family planning advice and contraceptive pill reviews. The will also advise and support patients with regards to weight loss and smoking cessation.

Our Health Care Assistant is here to provide our phlebotomy service (taking bloods), blood pressure checks and warfarin monitoring. She also offers specific clinic times for some of our chronic disease patients. Please make sure to inform our Reception Team with the reason for your appointment when booking. 

For all nursing appointment requests our Reception Team will ask what the appointment is for and will book the most appropriate nurse and appointment type required.
