Welcome to Bruce Medical Centre

NEW TELEPHONE SYSTEM - UPDATE

At the end of April 2024, Bruce Medical Centre introduced a new telephone system in to the practice.  The system has been provided by BT.  However we have experienced a catalogue of problems with the new system.  The problems are out with Practice control.  We are awaiting a fibre line to be installed by BT Openreach.  However we are awaiting on the Main Street to be closed off overnight to enable the cable to be installed by the engineers.  We are awaiting North Lanarkshire Council granting a temporary evening road closure.  Until this happens unfortunately our telephone lines are going to encounter problems.

We are aware this is frustrating for our patients and we have appealed to people in charge at BT and the local Council to see if this work can be fast tracked.

We are aware when making telephone calls to the practice the system is cutting people off who have waited in a queue and then abruptly are cut off by the telephone system.  Again this is out with the practice control and can only apologise until this work is completed by BT.  In the meantime please come into the practice to book and appointment if you continue to experience problems.  Please note however all our appointments are made on the day from 8am onwards.

The partners would like personally apologise to you and offer you their re-assurance, that we are doing everything we can to rectify and resolve the issues patients have faced over the last few months.  We are hopeful that your future contact with the practice will be a better experience going forward.
