Test Results

For results to any tests organised ONLY by West Coker Surgery - please ring the surgery after 11:00.   

The practice will NOT provide test results (bloods, scans, Xrays, etc) if they are requested or arranged by a hospital doctor, nurse or midwife, wherever the test has been done.

This includes those occasions when the practice undertakes a test, eg blood tests, requested by someone outside of the practice e.g. a hospital consultant. You will need to contact the person who requested or arranged the test for its result and for advice on what the test result means. Medico-legally it is their responsibility to do this, not the practice's responsibility. Sometimes a consultant's secretary will forget this and, in error, incorrectly tell the patient to contact their GP for a test result.
