Specialist Interest Groups (SIGs)
The SWUK ODN Board has established a number of Specialist Interest Groups (SIGs) to provide expert advice to the Board on matters related to a particular specialty. Each SIG develops a project-based work plan, bringing together specialist staff from each of the Burns Services to provide a forum for discussion on service developments, sharing best practice and taking forward specific actions related to the SWUK ODN Work Programme.
The groups also provide an opportunity for peer support, shared learning and opportunity to ensure consistency in the standards and delivery of care across the whole SWUK ODN.
Each SIG has a nominated Lead who sits on the SWUK ODN Board and provides a written quarterly report to the Board.
Current Specialist Interest Groups:
- Anaesthetists & Intensivists
- Nursing
- Psychology
- Therapies
