Friends and Family Test Explained
Patient Reference Group
We would like to know how we can improve our service to you.
We currently have a patient representation group so that you can have your say. We ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received. We will contact you via email and keep our surveys succinct so it shouldn’t take too much of your time.
We aim to gather around a hundred patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.
The information you supply us will be used lawfully, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The Data Protection Act 1998 gives you the right to know what information is held about you and sets out rules to make sure that this information is handled properly.
The Friends and Family Test
People who use NHS services should have the opportunity to provide anonymous feedback.
The Friends and family test is such a tool to enable you to do this, take a look at the short film and see how you can provide your views anonymously.
If you attend the practice for an appointment you may receive a text message after your appointment - a simple question asking your opinion on your recent visit. Or fill out the Friends and Family Test form in reception and pop it in the box provided. We value your opinion which can often be used to improve services.
