The breast screening unit which was in Poringland in the spring has now left the area.  For patients that missed their appointment or are outside the screening age but can request screening once every three years, should call the screening team on 01603 287777. 

Military veterans

Military veterans treatment policy - We have for some time now adopted the Healthwatch Norfolk Military Veterans policy for supporting priority treatment for veterans.  Our Practice leaflet, new registration forms and our clinicians encourage patients to declare if they are a military veteran, so we can mark this on our GP record.  We can then reference this in any referral we make to a specialist service.  At present we are awaiting confirmation of accreditation to the RCGP (Royal College of GPs) scheme.  This is something encouraged by the Norfolk and Waveney ICB, to ensure veterans and their families receive the appropriate help they may need to access health and care services by being more inclusive and making reasonable health adjustments to address health inequalities.  If you are a military veteran, please let us know so we can update your medical record.  Click here for more information about the NHS Veterans Service.
