AHEAD Project- Update 2018.
Darwen Healthcare has been successful in it's AHEAD Project proactively encouraging men aged 16 -65 to attend for a health check or to attend their annual chronic disease review. Although the project ends March 18 the process will continue in the practice. If invited please take up the offer of a health check. During the past 12 months 407 men have attended a check up having previously not attended. This has seen the Nursing Team shortlisted for the Burdett 2018 Nursing Team Awards - Men's Health.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES
The Practice also offers some medical services, which are not available on the NHS, e.g. HGV medicals and insurance medicals. The doctors charge a fee for these services. The receptionists will advise you in advance if you request a service for which there is a fee (current fees are also displayed in reception).
